Irene graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering.

Upon graduation, she became the 1st Sales Engineer for Electrolux Malaysia. In 1990, Irene joined AUSTRADE (the international trade agency of Australia) as Trade Development Officer, responsible for promoting trade between Australia and Malaysia in the areas of Education and Medical & Scientific industries. 

In 1997, Irene was invited to join PICO International as Executive Director for their subsidiary, ExpoAge International in organising international exhibitions.

In 2001, Irene joined her family business, Green & Natural Group, with interests in oleochemicals & fertilizers.  In 2009, Green & Natural Industries started manufacturing activities, and the major raw materials used have always been vegetable based.  Irene took on different roles, in Sales & Marketing, Human Resource, and she was appointed General Manager in 2018. The company has gone through phases of growth, from more generic products to technically based products.  Irene and team are putting in place automation in the manufacturing side, as well as more automation in other processes.

He holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Canada in 1983.

Mr Teong started his career as an engineer with Texas Instruments in 1984. He later joined Lembaga Letrik Negara where he served as a Consumer Engineer for 4 years. He then joined the stock broking industry and became a dealer with OSK Securities Berhad in 1990. During this stint in the broking industry, he developed extensive contacts and the skills pertinent to managing a service centric business. In year 2000, he acquired a controlling stake in GD Express Sdn Bhd. He was instrumental in turning around the Group by putting in place corporate policies and best practices which cumulated in the listing of GDEX on the MESDAQ Market (currently known as ACE Market) on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in 2005. 

Currently, Mr Teong is responsible for business development, setting strategic direction and the overall management of the Group as well as overseeing operations of the entire organisation.

Mr Teong is also a director of GDEX Foundation, a company limited by guarantee.
