Derived from Penang, the northern state of Malaysia, this restaurant has been around for decades nestled in the busy part of Kuala Lumpur. Planning to dine here, one should arrive by 1 PM in order to avoid a long queue. The appeal here is their specialities which are their signature "ayam sambal bawang" or chicken stuffed with onion sambal, and their famous drink, Soda Bandung. (evaporated milk with rose syrup) Other lauk(dish) that you can eat with your steamed rice are Ayam Madu (Honey Chicken), Kuah Bendi (Okra gravy), and cabbages. You can also add the crispy Papadom to complete the Nasi Kandar staple element.
